Refund and cancellation policy
This policy applies to consulting fees for business process improvement engagements booked with File Cedar Path Advisory Co., Ltd.
Eligibility
Refunds apply to prepaid consulting fees described in a signed letter of engagement. Website inquiries and unpaid discovery calls do not create refundable charges.
Timeframe
Cancel in writing at least ten business days before the first scheduled field day for a full refund of unused prepaid fees, minus any non-refundable deposit stated in the engagement letter.
Full and partial refunds
If we cancel an engagement for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund of fees paid for undelivered work. If you cancel after field work has begun, we refund the unused portion after deducting days already delivered and reasonable preparation already completed, documented in writing.
Non-refundable items
- Deposits marked non-refundable in the engagement letter
- Facilitated meeting days already delivered
- Third-party venue costs paid on your behalf
- Printed workshop materials already produced at your request
Refund process and timing
Email hello@file-cedarpath.click with the engagement reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days and process approved refunds within fifteen business days to the original payment method where possible.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may reschedule field days once without fee if you give at least five business days’ notice and we have advisor capacity. Later changes may incur a rescheduling fee set in the engagement letter.
No-shows and work already started
If key family sponsors miss scheduled interview or observation days without notice, those days are treated as delivered. Work already started — interviews completed, maps drafted — is billable even if you later pause the engagement.
Exceptions
Serious illness, bereavement, or government-declared emergencies affecting the scheduled site may allow fee credit toward a later date when supported by reasonable notice. Credits are not automatic cash refunds unless agreed in writing.
